Layers of paint on the newspaper page
Then stamped with thick acryllic paint
Although the picture is copied from THE book - I have painted all over it, the bird, each leaf, each flower, each stem - to make it look more like an original
I am pleased with the texture on the backing pages - like thick oil painting.
This bird is another regular visitor to our garden, and I hope that the image looks like a vintage watercolour painting

Gorgeous green finch! We don't have so many of these at the moment, but we do have a little flock of Goldfinches. They sit on the thistle seed feeder for so long each day they probably can't fly very far afterwards!
Oh, I can just picture them Sally - thanks for visiting
Stunning, Lottie. I love Greenfinches but haven't seen one since the winter :( A virus decimated most of them up here and they've become quite rare sightings. Lovely to see one again - we had them in the garden all the time and often late at night, when all the other birds had gone to roost. We also used to get 12 or 13 goldfinches on at a time on the feeders, but since this long, hard winter, we've only seen two. Sad how the weather so affects our birdlife. On another note, we got pics of a yellowhammer today - I was ecstatic!
This is fabulous. What a wonderful way to upcycle your newspaper. Happy creating...
Another beautiful page! We occasionally get greenfinches visiting our garden, and the periwinkles are out just now.
WOW what beautiful work - you must be so proud of it.
