Thank you.........

For all your kind words of support after losing my Allotment Lady website - and so many years of daily posts, recipes, sightseeing, chickens, home, garden, family, self sufficiency, allotment growing - and so much more.

I am absolutely gutted - and did not realise that Webmania did not have a back up - and have never received any emails to tell me that or advice about backing up.

I am not a young computer savvy person - or even an old computer savvy person - so am feeling so upset.

The enormity of it didn't hit me at first, but it did yesterday and I spent most of the day in tears - what good is that huh? - what a wimp - all it achieves is a headache and red nose! LOL

I might start to incorporate some of my 'other' life into this blog as time goes by. If you don't mind.

It is ironic that I went to the expense of getting the domain and website and someone to put the blog on my website - so that I would have it forever - and my children and grandchildren would have it to look at when I am gone (so long as they kept up the yearly subscription).

When I started it, Blogger was in its infancy, and there were quite a lot of teething troubles - so at the time it seemed like a good idea.

What was that famous quote about 'Hindsight' LOL!

Oh Lottie, I haven't dropped by for a while, so sorry to see this :o( Have you tried the Wayback Machine? Send me your domain name if you don't know about Wayback and I'll try for you (e-mail addy is available on my blog, just click on the "contact me" bit on the left side bar).

I was wondering what happened and I am so sorry that it happened. It sounds like it was a collection from heart and soul.

Bit late, Lottie, but I'm really, really sorry to hear your sad news. I really loved your other blog and especially the incubation of the eggs and the hatchings! Don't give up! You can always have another Blogger site - OR a Typepad blog if you want a little more freedom.

Ironically, http://kooringa.blogspot.com is alive and well, so at least you have all of those postings.

Oh Lottie, I am so glad that I've found you again and that you're OK! I was getting very worried that there were no updates on Allotment Lady for over a month- I thought something must have happened to you or Pat. Very sorry to hear all your records have been lost but at least you are alright. You are such an inspiration to me, I look forward to keeping up with you on this blog instead now I know where to find you again :-) Sarahx

Ah at last I understand why one of my fave blogs has disappeared! This makes me realise why I should save my blogger posts occasionally, which I do but not as often as I should. It is shocking that they lost all your stuff with no backups! A pathetic performance. I would be most pleased if you could let me know when the new blog is up and running, on the Pushing up the Daisies blog.
Don't let it get you down! Just start a new one and you will soon cheer up with it. Best of luck,
Adrienne (Antipodes)
