A card for my granddaughter. I must be insane!
It must just come with lots of practice LOL You should see how many images I ruin right at the end - which are ripped up and put in my bin! I even invested in water colour paper for this.
Or maybe I will just have to face up to the fact that I am just not talented enough yet to 'knock them out' quickly, or even to make them look as good as I would like them too.
I really need lessons - but there seems to be a famine of them in my part of the country!
The photo does not show up the gold on the paper trimmings and prima flowers which gives it a lift.
A black fly thought it looked realistic and landed on the gold centre of the flower just as I took the photo!
I am finding it really, really hard to colour/paint this cute little stamp Images to make them look as nice as I want them too.
Materials
K&Co Madeline backing card and paper trim
Flowers Prima
Stamp from Sugar Nellie

Lottie, it's beautiful! any tiny imperfections are what makes it hand crafted! What are you using to colour with? If it is on watercolour paper, try using a water brush, picking up a bit of colour from a distress ink pad and applying it, or use a damp paintbrush x
Nah youre not insane...well,not clinically lol
I think youve done a fab job...and no,Im not just saying that - as everyone keeps telling me 'we are our own worse critics'.
I know what you mean about this area being lacking in workshops etc how I wish we had something close by to go to to learn all the amazing techniques that are out there.
oh...and your grand daughter will love this card for sure!
another very pretty card..I like the touches of gold too
This is lovely Lottie. Don't be so hard on yourself. You're not alone when it comes to creating something taking hours, I think it must be the perfectionists in us. As long as you are happy with what you end up with as you should be with this, your Granddaughter will love it.

Gosh Lottie I was thinking how accomplished it looked and well shaded and coloured so there! It is very sweet and your granddaughter will adore it
Awww Lottie, i wish i was half that good at colouring the images. I too have problems and mine never turn out as good as this one. Its beautiful. I really love it my friend
Hugs June xxx
It's fab Lottie, but I totally know what you mean about finding it difficult to get the iage as to how you really want it.
Im sure your granddaughter will love it
xx
Really really pretty. Colouring the images can be tricky can't it but you did a great job here. As an alternative, have you tried stamping the little girl onto pre printed paper and cutting out (ie to give a patterned dress etc)- its what I do a lot of the time-
You chose the best option in this case though as its beautifully painted ...she'll love it.
