ATC Oriental Collages with a difference

'Are you there?'

This lady have painted and inked, ditto the screen. Background textured, stamped calligraphy in the same pink used to ink the lantern, shade the frame, then I 'washed' over the pink on top of the dried stamping to soften and blur it.

It might clearer and not so dark 'in real life' such a dark day here today that I could not get a decent photo of them

Oriental black and white image which I have painted and coloured.

The background has been textured and stamped, the 'frame' is with distressed embossing powder - then rubbed here and there.

Lovely - I like your artist touches to the images to make them unique. I like how the first one seems to be looking out of a window and the second one looks quite thoughtful.

I am glad you saw that LK cos I painted it to look like she had opened a screen to look out of a window - when it fact it was a 'flat' looking image with a see through screen - and I wanted it too look more solid.

In the other image - once I had cut away all the background to just focus on her face - it totally changed the look and mood - and now she looks like she is think hard or daydreaming about something. It had a huge difference colouring the 'grey/white' lilies and rose buds in her hair.

Thanks everyone for you kind comments
