I seem to be going through a period of 'things' malfunctioning over the past few months.
Today it is the turn of my camera. I took some lovely photos of the deep snow and the work I have been doing in my garden for the past three days - and not only will they not down load - the memory stick is on strike!
It tantalisingly told me that there were 98 images - which were my crafting and other images - forever frozen in time on the little black stick!
Where does all this 'stuff' go? Like the five years worth of daily posting on my website that disappeared when the host had a major malfunction and 'lost' it all.
Is it floating around somewhere in cyber space - I just don't understand. One minute it is there looking great - the next it is gone!
At least in the 'olden days' when writing something, you had something tangible, that didn't just disappear. When taking photos - you had a roll of film that you could keep for years and still get prints. OK so it wasn't instant like today - but mostly it was more permanent!
So despite working my socks off and achieving rather a lot - you will just have to take my word for it-and it will just remain in my memory - for how long is rather debatable at my age!

Victoriana - Mother and Daughter
This is the last of my foray into the world of UTEE and pendants for a while.
I just love this mother and daughter Victorian photograph
The colouring is more vibrant than the photo reflects
These three tiny pieces of jewellery were all joined together on a broken piece.
So I took it all apart added the rings and came up with this.
It was just a broken bit of 'junk' amongst some old buttons I got years ago.
The pink of the 'stones' matches the roses in the photo.
Any idea what the stone could be?
It all looks very old.

'Time' captured in "amber"
The challenge on Gingersnap Creations this week is "Time" - which I have captured for this pendant
I made this using tiny brass watch parts which I layered and floated in amber UTEE
Not as easy as it sounds!
Sadly the photos do not capture the brass colouring of this which is a shame.
I even managed to get two tiny little watch 'hands' to float on a paper clock face.
My friend Cath sent me some bits and pieces which inspired me to make this.
The little clock charm was bright and shiny, but I transformed it to something older looking
with ink and a bit of distressing. It actually looks the same colour as the pendant.
The metal disc behind is also exactly the same colour as the pendant -
grungey old blackened with age yellow brass.
(Made from a piece of grungeboard)

Blog Candy Giveaway
I am a follower of this blog, and Jo has some lovely blog candy she is kindly giving away - why not pop over and see.
What a present I received today..............
A very dear and talented friend of mine made this gorgeous box for my birthday present.
This is the slide on lid. Look at all the work that has gone into this.
Each piece is collaged onto the wood its beautiful
The many techniques used - took my breath away.
Metal embossing, coloured with alcohol inks
Dyed string edging it, and the crackle paint.
The gorgeous vintage lady is printed onto material,
her cuffs are lace, she has a silk belt and seed bead buttons.
This lady is printed on material too, and she feels wonderful.
More collaged vintage paper - stamps, postcards etc
This is the top.
I am so very thrilled to bits with this box and all the techniques used in making it. It has really inspired me to get out the metal and have a go myself - watch this space

This is one I made earlier - and it got messed up!
I made this 'roaring twenties' pendant - then had an accident and messed it up! I had glued the UTEE'd image in with Superglue yesterday, but when I went to look at it today one side of it hadn't stuck properly, so I tried to carefully prise it out to re-do it and it snapped. Argh!
It was such a shame - I have messed up quite a few - but at least I managed to salvage the glass dangley flower for the pendant below
