(Almost )Finished charms

Well I spent the afternoon yesterday finishing off the charms.  I managed to break the top of the 'iron' leaf when inserting the jump ring - that's the third time I've done that!  I'll glue it together methinks and mount it on something - as I really like how it feels in real life!

Here's the side views of the charms showing the patina
I have to confess that as a first effort I am quite pleased with the results
The look more metallic than I expected
And although the whole process was quite lengthy, I have learnt a lot of what not to do, and what's best to do.

Now I just have to add rings and pack them.

Lottie this has been an exciting and interesting venture... I love them all. In factbecause of your inspiration I even googled the Verdy things and had the urge to order !!!!I didn't but have bookmarked a Co. in Canada that sells it...
I think it would be an interesting thing to do with my art doll faces....I also watched a couple of videos on utube..
I have to think on it as I am like you with things in drawers that I ordered and they are still in packages....sigh!
Thanks so much for sharing this lovely experience..Well worth the time and effort:)

WOW Lottie they have become unrecognisable from their first stages of dark blue and cream naked clay.

Great to see you experimenting and coming up with fabulous results.

Absolutely gorgeous. You have worked a miracle here Lottie :) They were certainly worth all your effort and learnin process. Hope you have given yourself a well deserved pat on the back - but don't do yourself a mischief :)
