To have the energy to clean out the chicken run, albeit slowly with lots of resting and looking, and watching Bluebell and Zola rush in and roll about in the fresh Hemcore squeaking with delight
To see Dolly, and Willow, Henrietta, Freckles, Snowy, Poppy, Mary, Gozzie, charge in and follow suit
To sit in wonder that Old Daisy has survived another winter, and is relishing the spring just as much as me. She really is very old, and we never expect her to last another year - but she does bless her
Happiness is seeing new life bursting forth through a bare ground
Turning a corner and discovering scented wonders
And bouquets of Bergenia
Oh how I have missed all this.
And happiness is visiting treasured friends blogs again, and seeing that 'they too' are enjoying a breath of spring and chickens - just like me.
Jo's given me some inspiration to get crafting again.
Thank's Jo - I loved your post - it really perked me up and I hope to have a go at your 'make' next week.
Lovely to be back - hope to be 'visiting' you all again soon

You're welcome Lottie. So glad you've turned the corner and the weather is lifting your spirits a little.
And well done to Old Daisy! A few of ours didnt make it through this winter.
Beautiful pictures. Our garden is full of Snowdrops and the Daffs are almost out.
Lovely photo's Lottie. In the spring my thoughts turn to the allotment.
lovely photos Lottie..I always love looking at photos of your chickens..my muscari is starting to bud so it will be nice to see the blue flowers of spring again
so glad you're feeling better and had a chance to spend some time out in the garden! your flowers are beautiful, and i think i could sit and watch your chicks all day long! xox
Oooh Lottie, you are so lovely to have chucks! I'd love to keep them too and planned to when I retired ( like now!) but never anticipated my family living so far apart entailing lots of travel time.
Thanks for popping in my blog and re your ??? I did the letters freehand from the memory of my blog title font. It was a "Make & Take" on a booth at CHA. If you'd like me to I could write your name in that style to the size you want and email it. It would also be more even than my rushed apron!

I took a "wrong" turn bumbling about on the blogspot site, and found your offerings. I love the pictures of your chickens. And your flowers. We are not nearly so far along toward spring weather, in spite of what the calendar says. Snow still covers the ground, but it is day by day giving way to the warmth of the sun. I am signing on for updates.
Foofin fabulous to see you up and at it in this gorgeous weather
Hi Lottie - sorry you have not been well, but lovely to see you up and running again! Your pix are lovely, especially your chickens! Look forward to seeing some more pages of your fab Journal!

Thanks for the comment on my blog update. I was having some Photoshop fun . Love the pics of your "Girls" and flowers. I loved it when we had chickens. There is something relaxing about watching chickens. I used to gather eggs for my dad and it was a surprise every time. Your pics brought back pleasant memories. Thanks.Enjoy your surroundings!
Hugs,Pat
Hi Lottie! Thankyou for visiting my blogs :-) You asked me about buying card blanks online - I usually buy mine from ebay to be honest. There's a seller called theconspirator with good prices and excellent feedback. This MIGHT take you to them but no promises!
