Art Journal Every Day 3

Well I messed up big time with this!

So I painted over the page and tried again

And again

And again

So spent more than 10 minutes on it.

But decided to show you anyway!

So instead of being on top of a rainbow - which I ruined (but only one page thank goodness)

This is totally different.
I used oil pastel sticks as they are good for covering up 'stuff' as they are rich.  The only thing is, because they are oil based they are hard to write or even paint on.
This is not finished yet.

For some reason I thought of the three brass monkeys.
'See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.'

It's good to post things that go wrong I think.

Talking of which .........there is another one coming up

Love it, pity about the rainbow page though as I really like that - still something to try again for later xxxxx

Never mind Lottie you didn't give up. At least you can still do a rainbow page again. Hugs x ChrisB

you know what I am thinking..put all black paint to cover the white background and make it like a psycho page..use masking tape to do some journalling over the black paint (learnt that today on the milliande site!)..I think it looks cool and has got lots of potential:)

Oh yes it IS good to share things that go "wrong"....I love some of the suggestions you got, especially the masking tape one.
it is good for me to see that others do things that are less than perfect in their eyes...but to mine look fine!

Great base for a new page Lottie! Paint a wash over it and remove from areas of uinterest with a babywipe, straight away... Then you could - draw lines around the image , like tree rings? And you could use those lines to write on... or doodle on/between?
