We had to go into town today, so popped into the small supermarket where I bought the lovely Sweet Williams and a bunch of roses.
I used sprigs of bay from a tree in my garden, and for a filler I used variegated pittosporum.
It took me half an hour to make
And only cost £6 for the flowers.
It actually looked nice without the flowers in it, so I might make a smaller one with just foliage from the garden.
It makes the lounge smell wonderful

You are sooooo clever - that is beautiful ... bet you would pay more than 6 pounds for something like that in a florist and it would n't be half as nice!
Ooh, I bet that's gorgeous with the bay leaves, too. Love it, Lottie! Linda's right - it would cost a fortune from a Florist and it wouldn't be as good.

This is stunning and a great bargain, can you imagine how much you would pay for that in a florist. I love my garden, and using foliage and other bits and bobs from the garden is wonderful for arrangements in the home. Think I may have to do more after seeing your achievement. Lovely topiary tree, I can imagine it looking pretty good using just foliage as you mentioned, maybe with variagated ivy trailing...wish I had more time to have a go!
Regarding the 'magic wallet' in your previous post, it remind me of the milkman from when I was a young girl, he had one and it fascinated me. He was also our window cleaner and had a diferent Magic wallet for that job.
