Altered Art Monthly Challenge - No.1. Matchbox Challenge

This is my first attempt at Zuzu's monthly Challenge.
An altered matchbox
I found this a rather difficult challenge to do.
I inked, distressed, stamped, embossed. and rub and buffed.
I used texture paste, metallic paints, and perfect pearls.
And this was the end result.

It took me hours to do - and I tried my best, but it is not good enough.
So I left it a number of days and tried again this morning.
As you will see in the post above.

Lottie, it's a beautiful work of art! I'd have serious eye strain working on such a small area with so much detail!
The colours are a lovely, opulent choice.
Well done!

Lottie.. I have to say I love them Both.... this one reminds me of the walls in a wonderful French palace or something .. with the lovely blue and gold leafing.
Beautiful work and thank you for joining in...

Looks oriental to me and I love the colours - don't know why you're not happy with it but I suppose it's just not what you had in your head.
