I just can't make them. I have big hands, fingers bent with arthritis - and inches are my worst nightmare.
I really like to support forum swaps - and try my best but............................
There is a swap on a forum I belong too, it was an open 'theme' and I sent in my nine Oriental inches - but didn't feel they were my best. I tried my best - but they lacked something.
So I have spent all of this morning trying again! (Click to enlarge if you dare!)
They do look better in real life - but as you can see, I can't even arrange them properly to photograph - they are just too small.
I have 'lost the plot' - Idon't even remember which way up some of them are meant to be! They have a Cosmic shimmer sheen here and there which the photo doesn't show.
In the photo some don't even look square - but they are - they are just not lying flat!
Please, pretty please, don't take offence if I don't join in any more inches swaps. I feel about inches, the way most people feel about spiders, or daddy long legs, or snakes. My grandson loves me to read him a book called 'Arghhh Spiders' - he and his mum are scared of them - I'm not though - but I think I might write a book called 'Arghhh Inches' - and he can have the same delight reading it to me in a scary voice - as I do reading to him!

Oh Lottie, you do make me laugh!! I can totally sympathise with the whole inchies thing though.
I think your inchies are fantastic, I love the colours on them
xx
Your inchies are great Lottie. Don't know why you find them scary. I've never tried them yet though, so may find a similar problem. 10/10 for perseverance which has paid off in spades!
well they look flipping good to me missus....but as you know,I dislike these too - they are the work of the devil, truly they are lol
these are gorgeous Lottie - you've obviously got the knack even though you hate them! I know just how you feel.
They look great! I can sympathise though. I too find inchies very difficult - I tend to get them all at an angle. My most successful have been using Inkadinkado inchie stamps and cutting them out after I have stamped them!
That's cheating Sally isn't it LOL!
They are gorgeous, Lottie. I'll let you into a not so secret secret - I HATE inchies, too! But I do admire anyone who can fiddle and faff enough to make a good job of them. They're supposed to be so intricate and my hands just don't do intricate - besides which, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with them after, he, he! Well done, you! You deserve a medal :)
I actually like inchies! you know me..all things mini!
I think your inchies look fab!! I really love the contrast of the black ink on the bright backgrounds. One way I like to make inchies (that's much easier than starting with a tiny 1" foundation) is by creating a larger collage, painting or stamp art piece with smallish patterns. Then I crop and chop out one inch squares randomly. You get all kinds of interesting results that way. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such kind comments!!
love the inchies, and have to say I haven't tried any so when I do will let you know!
xx
Yes Lottie, I'll buy your book - I just CAN NOT do inchies AT ALL.
Yours are great and after all those you must be inchied out!

lol Inchies, Twinchies and things that go bump in the night... a best seller if ever there was one.
These are fab Lottie. We'd have never guessed the angst it all caused.
I think you have done a good job with the inchies but agree with you that the size is really hard to work with. I am the same and find inchies too difficult as I can layer them too much which is what I love to do do
