I was up my allotment yesterday evening when the sun was at last going down (dressed as you can see in my Worzel Gummidge outfit thanks husband for the candid camera photo - not!)
I was watering some of my pumpkins and squash
.....doing a bit of weeding, and planting stuff and.....
Look what I dug up
This is after it had been washed and some of the rust brushed off.

I've dug up flints and bits of glass and the odd rusty lump of metal ....
but never an old artifact.
I have taken a mould of her so that I can make others

What era do you think she comes from?
She's about 2 inches long.
I don't have a clue what to use her for do you?

Hi Lottie what a great find just when your making moulds of things. It was meant to find you. I don't know what it was for but it's lovely. Take care have a lovely weekend. Hugs x ChrisB
ReplyDeleteI think you're being a bit of a tease, Lottie! Probably circa 21st century, somewhere around July 2012 and a lovely "find". LOL.
ReplyDeleteMaggie
I don't care if it's old or one of your creations, it's lovely. Looks kind of Shakespearian (sp?) LOL!

She's lovely Lottie! I'm inclining to Maggie's view though - are you teasing? I'm thinking the Verday paints may be getting a bit more of a workout! I think she's be great on a trinket box or perhaps a frame.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic find... She needs to go on a canvas.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing find! She's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit Lottie :)
ReplyDeleteI, too, think you are teasing and agree with Effie - defintely a canvas :)
She is beautiful.
Lynn xx
Amazing what we find...she and her companions could be the centrepiece for a shadow box or mini canvas
ReplyDeleteStrange things happening with comments - 2nd attempt... Beautiful "find" love the rust adding depth. She should be the centre of a shadow box or perhaps a canvas.
ReplyDeleteLovely face!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if its old or new, can't help thinking its those Verday paints........either way its beautiful, x
ReplyDeleteHello Lottie,
ReplyDeletethat is an amazing find! I would be very excited...but not know what to do with her either! What a cool idea to make a mold of her!
Hugs,
Terri
Oooh I think this is such an amazing find! I am lucky if I find 10p! Great that you found this whilst you are in 'making moulds mode' as it will be perfect, and exclusive to you and therefore extra special,
ReplyDeleteLucy x
Wow that is an amazing find. The mould will be very useful.
ReplyDeleteHope you will make one with it. I can see it on a box and a canvas. Just go for it.
