Oriental Altered Cardboard Box

Since Thursday I have been busy altering a recycled cardboard box.

It has had several coats of black acrylic paint - each coat has to dry overnight.
The image I scanned from a calendar my daughter - in - law gave me. I printed it out and gave it several coats of clear embossing powder, before attaching it to the lid.

The Japanese calligraphy spells out the seasons - I stamped in gold and embossed it.

Finishing it off with ribbon glued all around the top.
I think I will hang on to this for a few weeks - as I rather like it - and I might do more on a similar theme.
